Working Tips

  • Running rods through an annealing cycle or preheating well well is recommended.

  • This color has variations of brick red to more green tones

  • Etching brings out great color in these rods

  • Encasing can help keep the red

  • I like to treat this as a simple striking color with heating, cooling and reheating

  • This color will pit if heated too much or too closely to the torch head
