Working Tips
-
Running rods through an annealing
cycle or preheating well well is recommended. However,
this color is one of the least shocky in this batches
of odds that I have found so far
-
Sweet Lime greys up in the flame like a coral-
but this color keeps the grey much easier - you can
check for grey before kilning
-
I believe more heat equals less grey
on this glass
-
More heat does seem to result in a
darker color. Above you can see this in the centre of
the encased bead and the hollow with very little heat
time as opposed to the larger focals which are heated
and reheated numerous times
-
Some rods are the lighter color shown
in paddles- most I have run across are the darker
colors you see here.
